KINZA ACADEMY ISLAMIC STUDIES PROGRAM - At Kinza Academy, we believe teaching the religion of Islam to young children as part of a school curriculum may consequently lead the children to view Islam as a “school subject” and possibly even a boring subject, rather than as a natural “way of life.” Rather than teaching about Islam, one must set a living example of Islam in the home for the child to really experience the pulse of Islam; this is something that cannot be found in a book. Hence, Kinza Academy does not offer an “Islamic Curriculum” for young children.

The purpose of establishing it was the perceived need for an educational institute in the United Kingdom and Europe which would provide students with a structured degree course in the field of Arabic and Islamic sciences within a multi-cultural and pluralist society.

Many muslims in the western world prefer to complete a basic degree in Islamic Studies at a university in the Middle East. Most of these programs begin with the study of Arabic and do not introduce the Islamic Studies component until much later in the program.
