The Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) was established on 10 October 1991, as an important resolution of the First National Convention of Singapore Malay/Muslim Professionals which was held on 6 and 7 October 1990. The Convention, attended by 500 Malay/Muslim professionals, met to brainstorm new directions for the community. AMP was formed with core programmes in education, human resource development, social development and research.

Farid-e-Millat Research Institute (FMRi) was established on 7th December, 1987, under the aegis of Minhaj-ul-Qur'an International (MQI) to disseminate the real knowledge, wisdom and truth, based on the philosophy of Qur'an and the Sunnah, amongst the masses.
