Begun in June 2004, our intent is to highlight the way that Muslim artists celebrate the beauty of Islamic beliefs and practices through various forms of art. We believe that Muslims can use art not only to express their love of the deen, but to call others to it, without violating traditional prohibitions on statue making, drawing human and animal forms, and using certain musical interests. The artists highlighted at Rendering Islam don't compromise their deen for the sake of art, and it is because of this that their art is truly beautiful and speaks to the Muslim soul.
