The Al Mahdi Institute is a research and teaching estabilshment that is independent from all ethnically or politically derived organisations. It does receive funding from many of these organisation and from many of their individual members but it's constitution and the vigilance of it's members safeguard the independence of the institute.

The Bukhari Institute is a non-profit organization aimed at teaching, promoting, and presenting various arts and sciences from the vast tradition of Muslim culture. Since its inception in the summer of 2001, it has offered classical Arabic courses, lecture series’ on various topics, and sponsors an annual month long Islamic Art exhibition called "In the Light of Islam."
