It does receive funding from many of these organisation and from many of their individual members but it's constitution and the vigilance of it's members safeguard the independence of the institute.

London Open College (LOC) is incorporated independently as an Islamic Distance Learning Institution. LOC has one Call Centre in London, United Kingdom, to where all inquiries and applications should be addressed. LOC is not funded or controlled by any government and it is not a British HE/FE University/College nor does it award British qualifications. LOC is a private Islamic Distance Learning Institution. There is no residency requirement and it is not the College's function to be a residential learning centre. LOC is free from any unnecessary governmental interference and restrictions, allowing us to maintain our independence and to keep our fees at a reasonable level.
