The Sankore' Institute of Islamic-African Studies (S.I.I.A.S.) is a non-profit, non-political educational institution founded for the sole purpose of researching into the educational, political, cultural and religious heritage of Islamic Africa. The primary area of concern is that part of Black Africa traditionally known as the Bilad 's-Sudan (The Lands of the Blacks). These lands include all the regions located south of the Sahara desert and north of the tropical jungles, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Red Sea. The purpose of the S.I.I.A.S. is to elucidate and evidence the Islamic traditions which were born out of African nations such as Takrur, Songhay, Mali, Ghana, Kanem-Bornu, Wodai, Fur, Funj, Sokoto, Segu, Massina and the Mahdist kingdom of the Nile valley.

The IANE is a non-profit, tax-exempt, private school founded in September 1996. The IANE teaches all subjects taught in public schools and integrates Islam in all aspects of the learning process. The IANE serves the Muslim community in the Greater Boston and Northern Rhode Island regions of New England. Presently the school offers classes from K1 (3 year old by December 1st) to 5th grade. The IANE has a partnership agreement with Al-Noor Academy the first Islamic high school established in the region. Al-Noor Academy offers classes from 6th to 12th grades. Thus the IANE and Al-Noor Academy provide a complete elementary, middle and high school educational system for the Muslim community
