The Islamic Society of UNSW (commonly known as ISOC UNSW) was founded in 1969, and has been a part of life at the UNSW campus since. Originally called the Muslim Students Association of UNSW, its name was changed in 1994 to reflect the wider diversity of members, including many staff.
