Our decision is not based on any country's announcement. It is based on the scientific fact that there is no possibility of sighting Hilal on Thursday, October 11, 2007, neither in North America nor in the Middle East. Astronomically the moon disc has 0% illumination. On Friday, October 12, 2007 will be the 30 of Ramadan and also astronomically it is possible to sight the crescent in North America in the Southern belt states such as Arizona, Texas, Southern California.
