My path to Islam was, by any stretch of the imagination, a gradual affair. Maybe the slow path is the best after all! In any case, my Islam was the result of a growing realisation of the centrality of God. Or, in other slightly less grandiose language, my eventual understanding of what Allah had always been trying to tell me! Or, once again, it was my awareness that I wanted God to be central to my life: the steering wheel and not just the spare tyre, as a song I once owned put it!

It is to submit that whatever content is viewable in this site, it is but the benovalence of our beloved Master Hazrat Maulana Ghulam Rabbanni (May Allah's Mercy be upon him) who was staunch on the Law (Shariat) and the Spirituality (Tariqat,) and by whose training I have been able to write these few lines. Baitun Noor Holy Khanqah was so named in 1996 by his Eminence Sultan Mohyuddin Imam Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani, (a direct descendant of the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad (countless peace and blessings be upon him), the Chancellor of the International Quranic Open University. The Imam faxed a dua (prayer) from the treasure chest of Sultan Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani to be recited on Nisf Sha’ban (15th day of the eighth month of the Islamic calendar) and subsequently upon receipt of the fax the miracles began.
